Quick, Easy but oh so delicious afterschool snack
On dreary, wet days like today in the middle of Autumn, all I crave is comfort food and this is so quick to do, I started it at 3pm this afternoon and had it ready before I was at the school gates for 3:30pm and no I didn't fly on my broomstick.
All you need is 5 simple ingredients and if you get them tomorrow morning, you too can have it ready before pickup tomorrow.
Nothing says homely, than freshly baked, still warm pastries.
Ingredients:
50g of unsalted butter
50g of caster sugar
2 tbsp of Cinnamon
1 block of puff pastry (500g) or ready to use puff pastry (makes the job even quicker)
1 egg(not pictured)

Method:
1- Preheat the oven at 200c on Fan
2-Roll out the pastry with some sprinkled flour so it doesn't stick to the surface.
You will need to keep rolling each end, one at a time, so that it rolls out into a rectangle. Once its as fine as a 2mm you are ready to go.
3- Zap the butter in a bowl in the microwave, for 20 secs, if it has not completely dissolved, keep zapping it in the microwave, in 10 secs intervals.
4- Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a clean bowl, use a spoon to really incorporate it.
5- Brush the butter all over the pastry that you just rolled out, Be generous.
6-Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon all over the pastry
7- Roll the pastry from one end to the other to create a long sausage.
8- cut it into 12 equal pieces around 4-5cm long.
9- Using a cupcake tray, butter the tray with any remaining melted butter, and place a cut piece in each hole.
10- Beat the egg and brush it on top of the cinammon bun, finishing by sprinkling any remaining sugar and cinnamon.
11-Stick it in the oven for about 20 minutes and that is it.
I hope you enjoyed this recipe.
